Memories Timeline

  1. My deepest sympathy to all of the Cruz family on such an unbearable loss . I feel like I’ve lost a member of my own family. Paula much like her deceased mom, Willa was full of life. She had a special warmth that made you feel like you were being embraced in a warm hug even when you were talking to her on the phone and not physically in her presence. Who could forget that sense of humor , that smile , that laugh that warmed your heart . Paula will definitely be missed but never forgotten. May your memories sustain you. My deepest sympathy to all of you.

  2. Paula was as good a person as I’ve ever known. She helped manage the large house my Mother and Stepfather lived in for many, many years and became a family member in her own right to them. When my Mother was stricken hard by Alzheimers, Paula became personally involved with her and Dan, helping more than just a house manager, and actually becoming loved and cherished friends of both of them, and ultimately was very involved in taking care of and nursing my Mom up to the end of her days three two years ago. My Mom’s passing was very hard on my stepdad who loved my Mom more than anything in the world, and Paula continued to be a great friend to him and ultimately a trusted companion and travel partner. Her friendship and love made my Mom’s passing so much easier for Dan, and I’ll always love her and remember her smiling face and true caring for our family. She was absolutely wonderful to know and knowing she and Dan were close friends warmed all of our hearts out here in California. She left us much too early but while she was here she obviously shared and loved a full lifetime’s-worth with those close to her and made a difference in our family that is indescribable. We will miss you Paula. God Bless You.

  3. My deepest sympathy to the Cruz family for the loss of your dear Paula. Sadly I never had the pleasure of meeting Paula, but through her sister Mia I have enjoyed many shared stories over the years.
May you rest in peace and know how much you are missed by many.

  4. Although I met Paula only a few times, her warmth and sense of humor touched me deeply. Her passing is a terrible loss to her family and friends. Sending love to her spirit as she moves on.

  5. My sincere condolences go out to the family and friends of of Paula. She will truly be missed by everyone that knew her. Paula always treated me with love and compassion. At the young age of thirteen, she never hesitated to straighten me out when I was doing something that crossed the line. On the other hand, she always had my back regardless of what side of the line I was on. My big sister, you will always be in my heart and soul. As always nothing but love and respect until we meet again. ❣️🙏

  6. Dear Paula, God snatched you way too soon, but what control do we have over so much? You were so easy to talk with, so easy to work with. I am cherishing our friendship until my dying day and feel fortunate to have known you. Will miss you, sweet soul. You cared so much about your family and friends. Your smile, your laugh, your hugs will be so missed. Elizabeth Zawadowski and Terry McCanne.

  7. Cousin Paula will be missed but her loving laugh & smile that would brighten any room will forever be remembered. God bless the family & I know the heavens are shining brighter.

  8. There’s the saying that you may not remember what a person said, but you’ll always remember how they made you feel. Paula left an incredible feeling behind with anyone who knew her – the kind where she was genuinely glad to see you and hear what’s happening in your life. She loved to gab, catch up and laugh and I could always count on getting a great hug from her. I’m grateful to have known her and I extend my heartfelt condolences to the family. As time passes, may all the loving memories we had with her fill our hearts and bring us comfort.

  9. My first “baby sister”…whatever am I to do without you? What a silly thing to even contemplate because I know you’ll always be watching over me with that big wonderful laugh that just exuded LOVE! My heart goes out to your friends and family. We will meet again! Give my love to our mamas. Love you!

  10. My heart goes out to the entire Cruz family. I will keep you in my prayers during and beyond this difficult time. Thank you all for being great friends for most of my life. Paula will be missed by many.

  11. Aaron and I had the pleasure of meeting and working with Paula at Sperry. Her team leadership skills were a sight to behold. She was always the true professional with her skirts and heels, makeup and curled hair. Of course we all wore the blue smock to protect the electronics we worked on. That didn’t stop her from looking her best every day. She led her team during the TQM or Total Quality Management days when money saving ideas were calculated and then disbursed by checks as bonuses for the team. I loved watching her with her poster board and marker in hand with her group around her ready to give their ideas. Anyone on Paula’s team benefited greatly from her leadership.
    Paula was always so positive.
Our life paths crossed again when she came into our home to help with her family cleaning business. She was such a blessing to me and especially to my mother in law. The two shared a bond of suffering from many of the same health ailments. My mother in law passed away in April. I know she had her arms open for Paula who came about 9 months later of the same year. Paula was not just a part of a cleaning crew but a treasured friend of our family. To hear her and her sister, Nathalie talk and laugh together as they worked was truly something. They sounded so much alike with similar laughs and the same voice inflections. I witnessed the love for one another between the two of them. Jesus knows that those two truly understood his intent for love between His people. We look forward to meeting Paula, again someday when it is our appointed time. Until then, Aaron, Noah, Hannah & I will pray for strength for those who have to be without our sweet Paula, here on earth. Sending our love.♥️🙏🏼

  12. My dearest cousin Paula I miss you so much already! I definitely miss your smile. We’re cousins forever! Thank You for always being there for us! Love you forever always in my heart! It just brakes my heart! My sincere condolences to all the family Sending all love and prayers! Love you all very much! Love, Trudy
