Paul Joseph Montplaisir, 88, passed away September 12, 2026. Survived by his daughter, Michelle (Erik) Juno; granddaughter, Ellie Juno; step-children, Melanie Smith (Amy Zook), Tim (Cindy) Smith, Marilee Smith (Nori Martin), Shawn (Anne) Smith; step-grandchildren, Jessica Smith, Dane (Skylar) Smith, Trey Martin, Tucker Martin, Regina Martinez, Coral Smith, Brennan Smith; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his wife, Maegean Smith; sister, Jeanne Roen; parents, Adolph and Jeannette Montplaisir. Paul was born on February 15, 1938, at St. Johns Hospital in Fargo, North Dakota. He retired in the early 1990’s from Evergreen High School in Evergreen, Colorado as the head custodian. He was a proud U.S. Navy veteran who spent his time traveling with his wife Maegean, including several trips to his favorite locations in Hawaii. He loved watching sports, especially football, softball and baseball. He also loved western movies, especially those that included Roy Rogers, his favorite actor. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family who will miss him dearly. At his request, there will be no viewing. Military Honors, including the Honor Bell Ceremony, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 25, 2026, at Pikes Peak National Cemetery in Colorado Springs.
