Paul Dean Thompson

Paul D. Thompson, 86, passed away September 22, 2000. Survived by his loving wife of 66 years, LaVerne Burch Thompson of the family home; children, Larry Dean (Teddi) Thompson and Lonny Paul (Sylvia) Thompson, all of Pueblo; brother, Joe Thompson of Leeton, Missouri; granddaughter, Sarah Marie Thompson; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his daughter, Delores Jean Thompson on September 4, 1937 and numerous brothers and sisters in Missouri. Born August 23, 1914, in Bagnell, Missouri. Paul served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He retired in 1975 as a credit manager for Sears and Roebuck. Viewing and services will be held at Roselawn Cemetery. He will lie in state Monday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 26, 2000, with Rev. Dr. John Ross officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Cancer Society.
