Patricio 'Pat' Gomez, 83, passed away Dec. 1, 2017. Survived by his wife, Susie Gomez; sons, David Gomez and Anthony (Alice) Gomez; daughter, Jackie (Brent) Denney; grandchildren, Pat Gomez, Erica (Carlos) Deleon, Kayla (Stephen) Varela, Andy (Sandra) Vigil, Tommy (Heather) Vigil, Anthony (Janie) Vigil and Billie Jo Vigil Johnson; great-grandchildren, Adriana, Elijah, Angelo, Antonio, Eliasz, Sebastien, Anastasia, Leigh (Ken) Carbone, Eric Johnson, Brian Johnson, Aaron Vigil, Kennedy Vigil, Andee Vigil, Luc Vigil, Ava Vigil and Carter; and by many brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.. Preceded in death by his parents, John and Secundina Gomez; brothers, Rudy Gomez, Fernando Montoya, Gustavo Montoya and Tommy Gomez; and sisters, Rose Anizan, Violet Marquez and Eva Maestas. Pat was born at home to John and Secundina Gomez on May 5, 1934, in Vroman, Colo. Pat Worked at the Sugar Factory in Rocky Ford. He was the manager at the pickle factory in Manzanola for over 25 years. He also helped his wife run Patricio's Cafe for 20 years. He enjoyed going to the livestock auction and buying and selling livestock and also buying and selling antique cars. He was most proud of his family. Pat was in the Army and was a member of the American Legion. There will be no viewing. Funeral service, 10 am, Dec. 7, 2017, at West Assembly of God, 9th and Eugene in Fowler. Interment, Mountain View Cemetery in Manzanola. Military Honors by Colorado National Guard Honor Guard.
