Patricia Sanchez, 62, passed away May 19, 2007. Survived by her husband of 39 years, Anthony Sanchez of the family home in Penrose, Colo.; son, Brian (Dayna) Sanchez of Littleton, Colo.; parents, Apolonio 'J.R.' and Dora Lucy Salazar of Colorado City, Colo.; brother, Robert (Ann) Salazar of Lakewood, Colo.; sister, Martha Sword of Pueblo; Aunt Pat Vinci of Pueblo; and numerous other relatives. Patricia was born March 2, 1945, in Las Vegas, N.M. She enjoyed arts and crafts, especially oil painting. There will be no viewing. Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. Memorial service, 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 23, 2007, in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel with Elder Louie Blags officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Kidney Foundation through Montgomery & Steward Funeral Directors, 1317 N. Main St., Pueblo, Colo. 81003.

I was saddened by the news of Patsy’s passing and would like to express my deepest sympathy to Anthony, Brian, family and friends; I have all in my prayers. As I age, I find that my childhood memories are held dearly in my heart because those experiences helped shape who I am today. I looked forward to our visits from Denver because I was treated so kindly. I was quite young then but remember the conversations as being intellectual and will always appreciate how respectfully I was treated. That’s a big deal for a kid and extremely meaningful for a man. Thank you Patsy, Bob, Martha, Uncle and Auntie. I strive to use your example every single day.
