Patricia A. Wells, 63, passed away Aug. 24, 2009. Survived by her husband, Raymond; brother, Paul (Evelyn) Andersen; and grandson, Andrew Raymond (Jamie) Wells. Preceded in death by her son, Brett Wells, 44, who was a triple master mechanic for the city of San Diego, Calif.; and parents, Bette E. Brown and Paul A. Andersen, Sr.. Patricia was born Aug. 25, 1945, in Deadwood, South Dakota. She worked part-time at a small newspaper called the Back Country Traveler and was a member of the Defenders of Wildlife. Pattie enjoyed backpacking, cooking, gardening and sewing. She loved living in the mountains, the sunrise, birds, her kittie cats, the sound of the wind spirits flowing through the trees and the little foxes. Pattie was full of love. A sweet and beautiful lady, with the heart of a lioness. The best friend I ever had. Love you, Sweetie. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society through Montgomery & Steward Funeral Directors, 1317 N. Main St., Pueblo, Colo. 81003.
