Orville M. Rouch, 85, passed away January 20, 2004. Preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Margaret E. Rouch on Nov. 5, 2002; parents, Orville D. and Mary Ann Rouch; and brothers, Fay and Robert. Survived by his sons, David B. Rouch of Pueblo and Roger W. Rouch of Wheat Ridge, Colo.; sister-in-law, Louise Wicks, Boulder, Colorado; cousin, Harry J. Amick; nephews, Dave (Leah) Wicks, Littleton, Colorado, Doug (Karen) Wicks, Great Falls, Montana, and Robert (Marilyn) Rouch, Folsom, California; niece, Patricia (Ron) Hurst, Brea, California; and several grand nieces and nephews. Orville was born in Pueblo April 19, 1918, and graduated from Centennial High School in 1937, San Francisco College of Mortuary Science in 1947. He also served in the U.S. Army during WWII. In 1946, he joined the family business, Rouch Funeral Home, which was founded by his parents in 1922. Orville retired as the president of the funeral home on December 28, 1986, when he sold the business to Gerry Montgomery and Marvin Steward. Member of First United Methodist Church, Pueblo Lodge No. 17, AF&AM, life member of Southern Colorado Consistory and B.P.O. Elks No. 90, life member and past president of Pueblo Charter Lions Club and member of many other civic organizations. He will lie in state at the funeral home today from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. The casket will remain closed at the service. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, January 23, 2004, in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel with Rev. Dr. Rick Calhoun officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery. In lieu of food and flowers, memorials may be made to Henry Robinson Sight Fund or First United Methodist Church, through the funeral home.
