March 29, 1938 ~ January 31, 2023

Born in: Rosston, OK
Resided in: Pueblo, CO

Our beloved mother, Neva Elizabeth Kirby, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2023, at the age of 84 at Parkview Medical Center from long-term COPD.

She was born in Rosston, Oklahoma on March 29, 1938, to parents Rachel (Fisher) and Sanford Brisendine. She was married to the love of her life, Lorin Wayne Kirby, on September 16, 1959, in Fergus Falls, Minnesota who preceded her in death in 2010.

She was a much-loved mother of Leroy (Julie) Kirby and Lora Kirby. She was a cherished grandmother of Nurell “Sweet Pea” and Dominique “Pumpkin” Lopez and Claire and Sophie Kirby. Although both her son and daughter were a special gift, she truly cherished her time with her granddaughters.

She was a sister of Mary Barns and Dornella Caddick  (deceased). Also preceding her in death were her brothers, Oswald, Jim, Omer, and Lynam. She was an aunt to numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. She was loved by all who were blessed to know her.

Back in the day she loved to host family dinners and enjoyed game nights with friends. She loved flowers and enjoyed watching her roses bloom. She studied her Bible daily and enjoyed many books on prayer. She loved her church and her church family. Most of all she loved God and He was her first love.

Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at First Church of God, 528 W. Abriendo Avenue, Pueblo, Colo. with a lunch following.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the church in her honor. Online condolences can be  made at www.MontgomerySteward.com
