Born on April 12, 1956, in San Diego, California. Nedra worked in Northern and Southern California for the California State Parks and Recreation for over thirty years. She retired as a Sector Superintendent at Cuyamaca State Park. She loved traveling the world and the United States with her family and friends. She loved camping, and being with her Diva camping group. She never met an oyster she did not like, but knew she would have to count how many were eaten when she would have to share.
Nedra loved to volunteer at the San Diego Zoo, The Old Globe, the Forest Fire Lookout Association, ushering for the symphony, and many others.
Nedra’s celebration of life will be held in San Diego, California.
In lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations to the San Diego Zoo.
I knew Nedra when we worked together in Santa Cruz for State Parks. Before that, I met her when I did a ride-along with her at Henry Coe State Park. She was smart, funny, and kind. I’m so sorry to hear of her passing.
Such a lovely lady with a bright smile. Most people smile with their mouths, Nedra smiled with her entire face. Wish I could have gotten to know her better.
I met Nedra on my daily walks through her neighborhood. My dog Remi love to see her because she always gave him lots of pets. She always had a smile on her face and loved to chat. She will be sadly missed!
Barely had time to get to know Nedra, but she was a lovely neighbor. Even in her last days, as I walked or drove by, she would be smiling and waving. Such a loss to family, friends, and neighbors. 🙏🏼
From a fellow California State Park Ranger Nedra!! We did not work together, but our heart, passion and mission was shared between us in providing the BEST FOR CALIFORNIA STATE PARKS and visitors.

I knew Nedra, Lura, and Blain throughout my high school years at Camp Tapawingo, Bandy’s Backpackers, and helping Mrs. Zimmerman with her Girl Scout troop. Beautiful memories from a beautiful time in my life! Bon Voyage, my friend, Crackers.
What a lovely woman that was fun to be around! So sad about her passing!
The Lopez family sends our condolences
Nedra was an amazing woman. Sorry for the spell check error in my post. Nedra probably would have gotten a big laugh!
I’ve known NEDRA since 7th grade. She was always so friendly and full of laughter I’ll miss you my friend.
She will be missed!
