Naomi Ruth 'Nancy' McCray Lilly passed peacefully on September 3, 2018, going directly into the arms of Jesus. Nancy was born Jan 2, 1929, to Grace and Levi McCray, the 8th of 12 children in Sadler, Texas. Her family were sharecroppers in Texas and Oklahoma moving frequently. She attended High School in both Sherman and Denison, Texas. Nancy married Darden W. Lilly Aug 30, 1947. They were happily married for 63 years. They lived a majority of the time in Pueblo, Colorado, raising 5 children. She was preceded in death by Darden; daughter, Carrie; parents, Grace and Levi; brothers, James, Raymon, Carlton, Charlie, Hulen, Bobbie Jean; and sisters, Evelyn, Kat and Vivian; and daughter-in-law, Louise. Nancy leaves behind her children, Carl Lilly, Carolyn (Mike) Griggs, John (Dory) Ryskamp, Bonnie (Donald) Gross, Bruce Lilly and grandchildren, Christina Lilly, Nicole (Alex) McFarland, Andy (Rachel), Lynzee, and Grant Griggs, Dan Ryskamp, Jordan (Lia) Gross, Janelle (Jason) Hodgkinson, and Jarett (Jennifer) Gross, Cole (Adrienne) Reuter, Sarah and Julia Naumes; and 7 great-grandchildren, Jacob Lilly, Caleb, Lana, and Owen Hodgkinson, Stanley McFarland III, Lily Naumes and Connor Reuter. When living in Pueblo, Nancy was active in many church organizations, and mission work was close to her heart. She taught Sunday School for many years and sang in the church choir. She was an avid quilter and had quilts displayed in several quilt shows. Nancy and Darden were active in the local Senior Center at Pueblo, playing Pinochle, Dominoes, and Scrabble. They traveled extensively in their RV throughout the US and Canada visiting many Major League Baseball Stadiums. Nancy relocated to Albuquerque in 2012. She had a very strong faith and was a very loving and caring person, helping others when she could. She loved sewing and made hundreds of baby quilts and receiving blankets for new babies. She kept the art of hand-written communication alive being known for sending birthday cards and letters to all. Visitation will be Monday, September 10, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. and services will be held Tuesday, September 11, at 10:00 a.m. in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel. Internment will be Wednesday, September 12, at 9:00 a.m. at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver.   5. Although I only met Aunt Nancy a handful of times when I was young, she left a very memorable impression on me. Very sweet, loving and caring. She made quilts for my grandbabies and great nephew. She will always be cherished in our hearts.

  7. I loved this Lady with all my heart. She was an Godly person and a very loving and caring aunt.
    She will be missed by many. I find peace in knowing she is with our loving Lord and Saviour and no longer in pain.

  8. Heaven gained another angel. Nancy was someone special to our family. She always remembered to write, then Facebook and email. We will truly miss her, but all of our memories we will hold close to our hearts. We love you all and will be thinking of you.

  9. A part of my life & heart went with her.. She felt to me like the sister I never had. We were buddies. We laughed & cried for 58 years..I will miss Nancy until I join her. Thank you Nancy for great memories.. Love
