Nancy Lynn Britt, 72, passed away peacefully but unexpectedly in her sleep on Monday, July 6, 2026, at her home in Pueblo.
A graduate of Centennial High School (class of ‘72), Nancy was a talented diver and a natural beauty. Following high school, she became a world-class model, signing with the Ford agency and working in New York and Los Angeles before going on to model in Tokyo. Her career included fashion shoots for the Nordica and Head ski brands across the United States and Canada and a nationwide advertising campaign for Winston. She later settled back in Colorado.
Nancy was impossible to miss. She was loud. She was fun. She had a vivacious laugh, a smile that took over a room, and an open heart for every stray animal that crossed her path. She loved the sun, swimming pools, flowers, long chats, and sending memes to every single person in her life. She was full of chaotic, contagious energy, and she stayed full of life even when life was hard for her and even when she was in pain.
She is survived by her sister, Barbara Eslinger; her daughter, Brittney Britt, and Brittney’s wife, Alana Miller; her cat children, Baby, Porkchop, Stripes, and Guy; her fur grandchildren, Summit and Pancake; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Llewellyn “Lew” Lewis Jr., and her parents, Dr. Llewellyn Lewis and Bobbie Lou Cramer Lewis.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the folks who supported Nancy, including Riki Martinez, Veronica Bussell, Toni Fulton, Dorothy Clason, and others who have dedicated their lives to bettering the lives of others. Their kindness and patience meant everything to Nancy and to those who loved her.
Before she died, Nancy made a list of what she was grateful for: The life that she had. Great friends, a wonderful daughter and sister, so many good people to take care of her. The love of all animals and creatures, and the things we sometimes take for granted — flowers, trees, birds. Angels all around her.
A celebration of Nancy’s life will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, September 26, 2026, at Angelo’s Pizza on the River Walk in Pueblo.

She was the most beautiful effervescent creature with a spirit of a sparkler and I hope that she went peacefully and is having a great time in the heavens with all of our friends who went before her.
There are patients you care for, and then there are those who become a part of your heart. Your mother was one of those people. I think about her often, and I miss her every single day. Her smile, her spirit, and the love she shared with everyone around her left a lasting imprint on my life.
Thank you for trusting me during such an important chapter of her journey. I will forever carry her memory with me, and I will always be grateful that our paths crossed. She changed me for the better, and I will never forget her
