Nancy J. Ramsey, 71, passed away at hospice on June 27, 2016. Survived by her husband, Richard Ramsey; children, Rich (Cassie) Ramsey of Colorado Springs and Julie Ramsey of Huron, Ohio; brothers, James (Patty) Quackenbush of Thornton, Colo. and Richard (Vicky) Quackenbush of Gilbert, Ariz.; grandchildren, Andrew Nagy, Michelle Nagy, Daniel Nagy, Thea Ramsey and Kyla Ramsey; and great-granddaughter, Alaynna Lemke. Preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Florence Quackenbush; and brother, Johnny Quackenbush. Nancy was born Aug. 15, 1944, in Indianapolis, Ind. Nancy and Richard were married 50 years ago on Aug. 27, 1966. She was a nurse and loved helping others. She volunteered for Sangre de Cristo Hospice and was an active member of First Presbyterian Church where she served as a deacon and elder. There will be no viewing. Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. Memorial service, 10 a.m. July 9, 2016, at First Presbyterian Church, 220 W. 10th St. In lieu of food and flowers, memorials may be made to Sangre de Cristo Hospice or First Presbyterian Church through Montgomery & Steward Funeral Directors, 1317 N.   1. I am so sorry for your loss. May all find comfort in knowing that you will be able to see your dead loved one again and that God promises to get rid of death forever.(John 5:28,29; Revelation 21:3,4) I hope that these scriptures can help all in grief.

  2. My sincere condolences to all of the Ramsey family. I got to know Nancy when we both served on the Pueblo County Advisory Council on Aging. So sad to learn of her passing. I will always remember Nancy as someone who was willing to do what she could to make a difference in the lives of the elders in Pueblo County, Her nursing background gave her a special insight into addressing health-related issues.
