Nancy Elaine Rael, 57, passed away unexpectedly on June 30, 2011, in Denver, Colo. She was born September 14, 1953, to Phyllis Speek-Hemsath and William Kidd, Sr.. She graduated from South High School in 1971, and the University of Southern Colorado in 1979. Nancy married John R. Rael in November 1978, and together had two wonderful children, Michael David John Rael and Nichole Antoinette Rael. Preceded in death by her parents; grandparents, Phillip and Mary Speek; and son, Michael David John Rael. Survived by her husband, John R. Rael; daughter, Nichole A. Rael; grandson, Gabriel J. Iacabone; father and mother in-law, Daniel and Angelina Rael of Pueblo; aunt, Beverly Mills of Westminster; cousin, Kimberly (James) Camerlo of Broomfield; sister, Susan (Gary) Steinberger of Colorado Springs; brother, William E. Kidd, Jr. of Pueblo; cousins, Tim Mills, Phillip, Floyd and David Youngblood, Patrick Ashby; other cousins, nieces and nephews. She retired from Pueblo County Dept. of Social Services in 2008, where she worked as a computer programmer/analyst. Nancy enjoyed being with friends and family, especially during the holidays. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and crafts, especially making items as gifts for family newborns and children. No viewing. Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium.
