Mitsumi 'Katy' Essenburg

Mitsumi 'Katy' Essenburg, 73, of Pueblo, Colorado, passed away September 21, 2003. She is survived by her husband, Harvin Essenburg; son, Steven Essenburg; grandchildren, Maxwell Essenburg and Molly Essenburg; and sister, Kikuyo (A.D.) Spafford. Katy was born to Matsu and Kazyo Narazaki on June 18, 1930, in Fukuoka, Japan. Some of her favorite things to do were playing with her grandchildren, Max and Molly; working in her garden; playing cards with her friends, Jack and Jennie; playing Bingo with her friends at Bingo Palace; and spending time with her sister, Kikuyo. Viewing will be from noon until 7 p.m. September 22, 2003, at the funeral home with the family present from 5 until 7 p.m. Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, September 23, 2003, in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel with Commissioned Lay Minister Sally Foulks officiating.
