Mildred 'Millie' Elizabeth Wennerlund, 91, long time resident of Pueblo, went to be with the Lord, November 2, 2014. She was born January 9, 1923, in Chicago, Ill. to Harry and Barbara Jensen. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Irv Wennerlund; and daughters, Barbara Burnett and Judy Askey Struck. Survived by son, James (Susan) Askey, Jr. of Pueblo; daughter, Kathy (Mel) Askey Nix of San Antonio, Tex.; ten grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren. Graveside service, 2 p.m. Thursday, November 6, 2014, at Imperial Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Pueblo Zoo or PAWS through the funeral home . I really enjoyed getting to know Millie when I had the opportunity to be her stylist. I loved her giggle. I am thankful to have met Kathy and Jim as well. What a wonderful family!
