Mike Jimenez, 83, passed away October 24, 2003. Survived by his wife of 57 years, Esther Jimenez; children, John (Denise) Lopez and Irene (Carmen) Bucciarelli; sister, Lucy Bravo; all of Pueblo; grandchildren, John Lopez and Natalie Lopez, both of Virginia; great-grandchild, Madison; niece, Rita Hernandez; great-niece, Angelique Hernandez; beloved great-great nephew, Bryce Garcia; as well as numerous other nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Concepcion and Elena Jimenez and 6 brothers. Mike was born April 26, 1920, in Pueblo and served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII. He retired from the Coke Plant at CF&I. Mike loved to paint and enjoyed yard work. He was an active member of Cathedral of the Sacred Heart and Knights of Columbus Council 4246. He will lie in state at the funeral home today from 1 to 6 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Vigil Service, 7 p.m. Monday and Funeral Mass, 9:30 a.m. Tuesday with the Most Reverend Arthur Tafoya and Reverend Father Roger Dorcy as con-celebrants. Both services at Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, 11th and Grand. Military honors by the Pueblo Veterans' Ritual Team and entombment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery.
