Michael C. 'Kodiak' Garner. Born Aug. 14, 1943, passed away July 21, 2011. Survived by, Sandi, his loving wife of 44 years; his adoring daughters, Brandi and Kasey Garner; son, Kent Fritzel and all his other 'kids.' Also survived by his sister, Bonnie Johnson of Lampasas, Texas. Preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Mae Garner; brother, Bill; sister, Bobbie; and beloved mother-in-law, Gladys Ladd. Mike proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a lifelong mechanic and car fanatic. Mike was a life member of the NRA as well as a gunsmith and hunter. The family graciously thanks their other families: Mike's hunting buddies and all the bikers. Special thanks to Dr. Gaide and Rachel for all the years of care they gave Mike. There will be no viewing. Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. Memorial service, 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 27, 2011, in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel, concluding with military honors by the Pueblo Veterans' Ritual Team. Online condolences, MontgomerySteward.com
