Merlyn Louise Davies, 71, lifetime Pueblo resident went to meet the angels Sept. 11, 2011, after suffering a massive stroke. Born June 29, 1940, to Lora and Merle Davies. She was a very Special gift to our family. Merlyn was a very special child of God and taught us all understanding, compassion and love. She kept us all on our toes with her updated news reports and history facts. Merlyn loved to go out to eat and travel. She realized her lifetime dream to see Alaska in 2008. Everyone considered her a little ray of sunshine. Merlyn loved attending Colorado Bluesky Retirement Program and all her friends and staff there. A special thanks to her drivers from City Lift and SRDA for their caring and kindness, and to Jerold, her RN in Neuro ICU, for his compassion and loving care. Viewing, 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday and service, 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2011, both in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel. Entombment, Roselawn Cemetery. 1. I WAS ONE OF MERLYNS CITY LIFT DRIVERS AND I WILL MISS HER SO VERY MUCH . MERLYN WAS A SWEETHEART AND WHEN I WOULD TALK TO HER , SHE WOULD ASK ME ABOUT THE WEATHER . SHE WILL BE SADLY MISSED BY HER FAMILY AND THE DRIVERS OF CITY LIFT . LIKE ME , DAVE MILLION

  2. Sharon, I am so sorry to hear about Merlyn. She was such a special part of my childhood. Playing with me and David and watching us when we were little. She was so special to my mom. Merlyn was so lucky to have you in her life. I know she was so happy the last time I saw her.
I misplaced your address when I moved my mom and was unable to find you when she passed away. Now they both are in heaven with their loved ones.
