Merlin V. Arduini, 67, passed away April 2, 2012. He was the ultimate family man, survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Virginia Arduini; children, Merlin Sam Arduini of Longmont, Marla Jones, Paula (Juan) Herraez and David Arduini; grandson, Nicholas Jones; sister, Martha (Leonard) Vigil; nephew, John Paul Hatfield (Liz Garrett), all of Pueblo. Merlin was born May 5, 1944, in Salida, Colo., to Merlin A. and Jane M. Arduini. He retired from the Pueblo Depot Activity as an electronics technician. His greatest attributes were his sharp wit, dry sense of humor, and creative spirit. His hobbies included astronomy, music, gardening and wood carving. In 1998, Merlin had a heart transplant and was blessed to live 14 more years. Viewing, 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 7, in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel. Funeral Mass, 11 a.m. Monday, April 9, at Our Lady of the Meadows, 23 Starling Dr., with concelebrants Rev. Father James King and Rev. Father Ben Bacino. Interment, Roselawn Cemetery.
