Merle W. Hood, 76, passed away Dec. 18, 2008. Survived by his wife of 54 years, Roberta Hood; sons, Scott (Anna) Hood of Pueblo West and Karl (Lori) Hood of Nucla, Colo.; son-in-law, John Anello of Chugiak, Alaska; and grandchildren, Dennis, Lance and Alexandra. Preceded in death by his daughter, Deborah Anello; parents, William and Vera Hood; twin brother, Earl Hood; and brother, Merwyn Hood. Merle was born July 17, 1932, in Pueblo. He retired from Chem-Way Lawn Care as a lawn technician, after 40 years of service. He loved to read and the outdoors. He enjoyed attending both First United Methodist Church and Temple Baptist Church. There will be no viewing. Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. Memorial service, 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2008, in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel with the Reverends Dr. Rick Calhoun and Waudell Maple officiating. Those who desire may make memorials to First United Methodist Church African Mission Project or Temple Baptist Mission Fund through Montgomery & Steward Funeral Directors, 1317 N.
