Melvern Lee Daberkow, 86, passed away Sept. 10, 2016. Survived by his wife of 60 years, Dora; children, Terence (Debby) of Pueblo, Kevin (Susan) of Fremont, Calif., Alan of Pueblo and Susan of Pueblo West; siblings, Arlene Kander of Sioux City, Neb. and Merlin of Pueblo; sisters-in-law, Marie and Madge; grandchildren, Zeb (Natalie) Clayton, Kelsey, Jared and Avery Daberkow; great-grandchildren, Charlee Hargas and Von Clayton. Preceded in death by his daughter, Linda; parents, William and Hilda Daberkow; brothers, Willis, Hilmer and Norman. Melvern was born Aug. 30, 1930, in West Point, Neb. He was a sales manager for Benfatti Furniture and retired after 35 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, camping and was an avid reader. An active member of Trinity Lutheran Church and Lutheran Laymen's League. Viewing, 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 15, 2016, followed by the funeral service at 10:30 a.m. both at Trinity Lutheran Church, 701 W. Evans Ave. Entombment, Mountain View Cemetery Chapel Mausoleum.
