Maxine Joyce Filer, 90, passed away June 24, 2012. Survived by her son, John (Mary) Filer; daughter, Pam (Joe Leal) Sheehan; grandchildren, Troy (Cindi) Tack, Greg (Marla) Tack, Farrah (Brandon) Haines, Josh Filer; ten great-grandchildren; former husband, Elmer Filer; and numerous siblings. Preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Gail Tack; son-in-law, John Sheehan; and three sisters. Maxine was born to Violet and Max Franch on April 22, 1922, in Trinidad, Colo. She was a secretary for School District 60 and volunteered at the Riverwalk and Pueblo Chamber of Commerce. Maxine enjoyed playing bridge and other card games. She especially enjoyed family gatherings, cooking and baking.
There will be no viewing. Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. Memorial service, 10 a.m. Thursday, June 28, 2012, in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel with Pastor Jamey Ketchum officiating.
