Mary Tindall, 87, passed away May 16, 2010. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Hazel and Ivor Williams; her loving husband, David Tindall; two infant children; three brothers, Dave, Tod and Joe; and her great-grandson, Jackson. She will be deeply missed, but we are relieved that she is finally 'home' and free of suffering. Mary is survived by her beloved son, Terry Tindall; 12 grandchildren, Heather Tindall, Shana Vail, Bryn (Jen) Tindall, Tavis (Kelly) Tindall, Tegan (Mike) Acree, Devin (Jennifer) Tindall, Deirdre (Matt) MacCormack, Brenna (Todd) Rosenzweig, Amber (Joe) Rukaj, Audra (Nate) Grossnickle, Ashley Tindall and Kendra Tindall; and 12 great-grandchildren, Brittany, Matt, Kieran, Bryce, Riley, Reese, Regan, Kyle, Ashlyn, Cali, Kila, and Quinn. Mary was born March 13, 1923, in Lakin, Kan., where she helped raise her three brothers on the family wheat farm. She attended nursing school, and later married David Tindall. After the war, they settled in Pueblo, where Mary worked for a time at Broome Brothers Camera. She was an active member and volunteer at Ascension Episcopal Church for more than 50 years. After moving into Villa Pueblo Senior Living Center, Mary (who had a quick wit, and keen sense of humor) was known by the title of 'The Candy Lady' - tirelessly volunteering wherever needed, constantly visiting ailing and bedridden residents, cheering up and encouraging the staff, and passing out candy, a warm smile, and a kind word to everyone -staff and residents alike. At Mary's request, there will be no viewing. A memorial service will be held 1:30 p.m. Sunday, May 23, 2010, at the Villa Pueblo Towers Penthouse, (15th Floor), 1111 Bonforte Blvd. In lieu of flowers, please make any donations in memory of Mary to: VILLA PUEBLO - MARY TINDALL FUND, 1111 Bonforte Blvd., Pueblo, CO 81001.
