Mary Lou Palek

Mary Lou Palek, 82, born on April 26, 1929, entered into our Lord's arms April 9, 2012. She is survived by her children, Tom (Francie) Beaudette of Model, Colo., Nancy (John) Maxson of Pueblo, Colo. and Richard (Penny Reineck) Palek of Cheppewa Falls, Wisc.; grandchildren, John Beaudette, Samantha (Steve Montoya) Lang, Zack Bellinger, Alex Ashby and Jacob Palek; great-granddaughter, Alexxus Montoya; sister, Pauline Addington; nieces, Ruth Addington, Geraldine Grebenc, Judy (Gary) Huppert, Joan (Dan) Medved; dear friend, Judy Marez; and numerous other nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, Adolph and Cornelia Motoski; husband, Chester Palek; and son, David Palek. Mary Lou was born to Polish immigrants who homesteaded in Clayton, N.M. and then came to Pueblo. Raised in Bessemer, Mary Lou was an accomplished pianist and a paralegal secretary for 30 years. She loved gardening, cooking and spending time with her family. Mary Lou had a quick witted sense of humor and was always putting others before herself. She taught her family love, compassion for others and to love the Lord. Mary Lou had a heart of gold. She was very loved and will be sadly missed. Viewing from 3 to 6 p.m. Thurs. in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel. Funeral Mass, 10 a.m. Friday, April 13, 2012, at Our Lady of the Meadows, 23 Starling, with Rev. Fr. James King as celebrant.
