Mary K. Coates, resident of Pueblo West and Monument, Colo., born December 21, 1917, died February 3, 2010, in her 92nd year. She was reunited in heaven with her husband of 58 years, William Coates; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. F.M. Kerrick of Bluemont, Virginia; one daughter; one granddaughter; one great-granddaughter; and three sons-in-law. She is survived by three daughters, Connie Wynkoop of Virginia, Donna (David) Heimke of Pueblo West and Deborah (John)Bauers of Monument, Colo.; nine grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. Mary's life was spent in music ministry, beginning with teaching public school music, then teaching private piano lessons, and finally as a Christian Music Minister for 40 years. She served as keyboardist, directed children and adult choirs, directed musical pageants and plays, and led worship and gospel teams. She will be interred with her husband at Ft. Logan National Cemetery. All are welcome to celebrate her life at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 7, 2010, at Majestic Baptist Church at the corner of Purcell Boulevard and Hemlock Drive in Pueblo West. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made in Mary K. Coates' name to the Majestic Baptist Church Building Fund, 494 E.
