Mary Jane Johnson, 82, of Pueblo, Colorado, passed away on July 3, 2016, in Durango, Colorado. Mary Jane was born in Princeton, Indiana, to Tobe and Mildred Field on May 9, 1934. She worked as a medical technologist for 40 plus years. She enjoyed her family, friends, pets and was a big fan of the Denver Broncos. She loved to dance with her husband and especially loved the times when all of her family was together. Mary Jane is survived by her husband of 59 years, Calvin Johnson of Pueblo, Colorado; daughter, Tamra (Dennis) Brennan of Durango, Colorado; two sons, Gregory (Sherry) Johnson of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Geoffrey (Natalie) Johnson of Boulder, Colorado; and two grandchildren, Makenna Johnson and Hunter Johnson of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Mary Jane was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Carol Schaffer; two of her children, Calvin Scott Johnson and Tracy Jane Backstrand; and one son-in-law, Jim Backstrand. Viewing from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, July 8, 2016, at First Presbyterian Church, 220 W. 10th St. Interment, Imperial Memorial Gardens.
