Services for Mary Griffin:

Mary Griffin, 76 years of age, passed away on Wednesday, November 24, 2021, peacefully in her home. Mary was born on December 27, 1944, in Pueblo, Colorado to the late Bertha and Everette Pulver. She was the youngest of 5 children; 3 preceded her in death. Mary attended Pueblo Central High School and graduated in 1963. Mary married William (Bill) Griffin on September 4, 1964, in Pueblo, Colorado, and had 3 children. She worked as a secretary for the Rocky Mountain Bank Note and for Accent Services. She then became a stay-at-home mom raising her children and being active in their lives and the church. Later on, she worked full-time cleaning houses.
Mary professed her life to Christ at an early age and was involved in different ministries at the Pueblo Christian Center for many years. She enjoyed being a Missionettes Leader the most, in which she mentored several young girls in teaching them about Christ and the Holy Spirit. Mary loved serving others, planning various get-togethers with friends and family, camping and fishing, and spending time with her family. She was a loving and giving person, devoted wife, mother, and friend who was always thinking of others. She was known for her fashion and sparkly sense of style and for the love that she had for people.
Mary leaves her cherished memories to her husband, Bill Griffin; children, Darrin Griffin, Janelle Griffin, and Amber (John) Hensley; grandchildren, Andrew Hensley, Nathan Hensley, and Morrigan Hubbard; brother and sister in law, Charles and Thelma Pulver and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A visitation will be held from 12:00 pm-1:00 pm, an hour before the service, on December 3, 2021. The memorial service, for those who would like to celebrate Mary’s life, will be held on December 3, 2021, at 1:00 pm, at Montgomery & Steward Chapel, 1317 N Main Street. Interment, Imperial Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sangre de Cristo Hospice, 1920 Valley Dr. Pueblo, CO 81008. Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Mary was a special lady, who loved and faithfully served her Lord through her years. She was a loving and caring lady who touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed by all those who had the honor and privilege of having her in their life, past and present. Our families have been acquainted for many years and we have pleasant memories of past times spent together at various occasions in years past. May the Lord’s love, peace, comfort, and guidance be with all of you. We care and send much love to you now and in time to come. She will ALWAYS be only a memory away! You will be in our continued thoughts and prayers. REST IN PEACE DEAR MARY, until we meet again.
Love and prayers, Verne and Nancy (Hubbell) Luellen and family, Harlingen, Texas

  2. Mary, you will be missed by so many. Thank you for being such a great friend to me and a great nanny to my kiddos. We all love you so much and are going to miss you. I know you are dancing with the angels. R.I.P. my dear friend. I love you so much and my only regret is not being able to see you before you left us. I know you are in a much greater place. No more suffering, no more pain. Until we meet again my dear friend rest easy.

  3. Sad to read of the passing of Mary. Many moons ago, I had the privilege of teaching her children at Vineland Elementary. She was a devoted and loving mother! I pray that her family is consoled by the great memories from better times. May God hold of you tightly in his hands and may He give you all the graces needed to sustain you during this difficult time. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

    • Thank you very much! Did you have a different last name when you taught at Vineland? Thank you so much for your kind words, it means so much to us.

  4. Love and prayers Griffin family. Mary has always been so close in my ❤️. She made such a difference in my life. Such a gift you all were in my childhood.

She was art, and she was not painted by accident.
Every stroke of her beauty ; imperfectly perfect, was painted with purpose.

    • Thank you, Laurie! Your love, words and thoughts mean so much to me. My mom mentioned you and Terri while she was in-home hospice. She loved you very much.
