Mary Ann Peterson, 93, passed away Dec. 7, 2004, in Pueblo, Colorado. Survived by her children, Jo Ann (Jerry) Stice and Warner (Barbara) Peterson, both of Pueblo; daughter-in-law, Joyce Peterson of Pueblo; sisters, Sophie Lest of Pueblo, Dorothy Zinn of Rifle, Colo., Lorraine (Del) Mair of Corpus Christi, Texas and Betty (Frank) Rikhoff of Pueblo; grandchildren, John (Rhonda), Randy and Greg (Colleen) Peterson, Dawna (Steve) Dwyer, Todd Peterson, Shelly (Mike) Carter, Jerri Lynn (Rick) Ingo, Terry (Judy) Stice, Denise (Doug) MacKay, Kelly (Diana) Stice and Bob Eikenberg; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, John A. Peterson on June 26, 1975; sons, Frank Peterson on May 30, 1942, and John Peterson on Aug. 23, 2003; granddaughter, Loy Eikenberg; parents, Frank Jamnik and Anna Jamnik Perme; step-father, Tony Perme; brothers, Edward Perme, Frank Jamnik, Albert Jamnik and George Jamnik; and sisters, Helen Williams and Gladys Thurston. Mary was born Jan. 11, 1911, in Pueblo. She enjoyed gardening and especially tending to her beautiful roses, preparing Slovenian and Swedish specialty foods for Christmas and sharing her love with all her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of Tabor Lutheran Church. Viewing Thursday and Friday at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 11, 2004, in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel with Pastor James Strader officiating. Interment will follow at Imperial Memorial Gardens with a reception following the interment in the Imperial reception hall. In lieu of food and flowers, memorials may be made to Salvation Army or American Heart Association, c/o Montgomery & Steward Funeral Directors, 1317 N. Main St., Pueblo, CO 81003.
