Mary Ann MAJOR, 85, of Pueblo West, Colorado, formerly of Lakeland, Florida and Port Allegany, Pennsylvania, died Saturday, April 18, 2026 at UCHealth Parkview Medical Center, Pueblo. She was born September 12, 1940, in Mills, Pennsylvania. Raised in Harrison Valley, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of Robert J. and Freda Thompson Burrell. A 1958 graduate of Northern Potter High School, she was employed by Ball Foster Glass Company in Port Allegany. She was a member of Free Life Chapel in Lakeland, Florida and a follower of Turning Point with Dr David Jerimiah. Mary Ann was very musical and played piano by ear. She and her mother would play duets on the piano and organ for hours. A social person, she played cards and bingo with friend groups all her life. Mary Ann had an exhaustive memory for people, places, and events that occurred in her life and was a great conversationalist. Mary Ann had an unbridled passion for giraffes, highlighted by a 2025 visit to TN to see Kipekee the spotless giraffe before her own untimely passing.
