Mary (Giarratano) Gersick, 94, passed away with her family at her side on Oct. 16, 2018. Survived by children, Barbara Greenwood, Angela (Greg) Mock, Marty (De) Gersick and Patti (Chris) Derby; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Mariann Giarratano; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, Stanley 'Muggs' Gersick; parents; brothers, Joseph 'Peps,' Carl, Sam, John and Philip Giarratano; and sister, Mamie Murgel. Mary was born to John and Angelina Giarratano on Jan. 16, 1924, in Pueblo, Colo. She was a member of St. Mary Church, the Slovenian Union of America and graduated from Central High School in Pueblo. Mary was a housewife most of her life, but upon the death of her husband in 1984, she operated Muggsy's Inn along with her son until 2004. She enjoyed interacting with the many customers. Mary enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved cooking Italian meals and watching the Rockies and the Broncos. Viewing, 4 to 6 p.m. Friday in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel. Funeral Mass, 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, 2018, at St. Mary Help of Christians, 307 E. Mesa Ave. Entombment, Roselawn Cemetery.   1. I hold many good memories of Mary, over decades since 1960. My prayers and wishes for peace are sent, especially to her children, but to all of her large extended family. She lives now in glory, in fullness of life. May we all sense her intercession for our us who knew and loved her.

    My deepest condolences on the passing of your mom. I truly enjoyed her and your dad. She was always a generous and gracious person. I had nothing but the highest respect and admiration for her. She will rightfully be missed.
