Marvin L. Swisher, 78, passed away March 20, 2000. Survived by his wife of 22
years, Virginia Swisher of the family home; daughters, Mary (Brad) Trudo of
Fountain, Colorado and Lois (Martin Budde) Swisher of Ft. Morgan, Colorado; step-
children, Carmela Rapp-Lopez of Pueblo, Betsy (Ed) Martin of Pueblo West, Chris
(Donna) Rapp of Chandler, Arizona and Debi (LeRoy) Aguilar of Pueblo; brother,
Ray (Norma) Swisher of Newton, Illinois; sisters, Mae (Frank) Turner of
Indianapolis, Indiana and Rowena Ragan of Creve Coeur, Illinois; 1 grandchild; 1
great grandchild; 17 step-grandchildren; 11 step-great grandchildren and numerous
nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his first wife, Christine Swisher in 1976;
parents, Earl and Mary Blanche Swisher; and brother, Harold Swisher. Marvin was
born November 21, 1921, in Bogota, Illinois and served his county in the U.S. Army during WWII. He retired from the Pueblo Army Depot after 32 years of service. After his retirement, he worked at First Presbyterian Church as maintenance and custodian for 12 years. He was a member and also a deacon at First Foursquare Gospel Church.
At his request, there will be no viewing. Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. Memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 23, 2000, at First Foursquare Gospel Church, 26th and Elizabeth, with Reverend Tim Price and Reverend Darren Wilson officiating.
