Martha Gallawa Whitlock passed away peacefully on April 5, 2017, in Denver, Colo., one month shy of her 95th birthday. Martha was born on May 17, 1922, in Scottsbluff, Neb., to John and Mary Gallawa. A longtime resident of Pueblo, Colo., her legacy will live on through her many contributions to the community. Her list of achievements is long and include Past President and Trustee of Distinction for the Sangre de Cristo Arts Center, Past President of the Pueblo Junior League, and Past President of Broadway Theatre League. She loved books and especially loved her membership in the Wednesday Morning Club. As a member of the AU Chapter of PEO, she served in all roles, including President. Martha is survived by her daughter, Laura Whitlock; her two granddaughters, Amanda Hoogervorst and Hayley Mathews; and three great-grandchildren, Chelsea and Chloe Hoogervorst and Leo Ragar. She is also survived by her brothers, Robert Gallawa and Walt Gallawa and their families; and her sister, Esther Corcoran and her family; as well as many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Howard Whitlock and her son, Randall Whitlock. Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium.     We are so sorry for the loss of one so special to all of you. Your mother was such a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She made so many contributions to Pueblo making it a better place to live. I will always remember her beautiful smile and loving hugs. I have missed her since
