Martha 'Marti' Flower, 63, passed away Sept. 8, 2006. Survived by her daughters, Marguerite (Everett) Even II, Sherri Lombard and Jennifer Flower, all of Pueblo; special companion Doug Dailey of Pueblo; siblings, Danny (Vera) Diaz of Westcliffe, Colo., Angie (Dave) Ortega of Greeley, Colo., Connie (Luz) Sanchez of Salida, Colo., Sarah (John) Garcia of Minnesota, Eva (Jan) Bolden of Salida, Colo. and Johnnie (Lawrence) Grisham of Tucson, Ariz.; grandchildren, Melissa Crowell-Even, Dillon Crowell-Even, Aubrey Lombard, Hailey Crowell-Even, Wyatt Crowell-Even; 21 nieces and nephews; 51 great nieces and great nephews; 37 great-great nieces and great-great nephews; and other special people in her life, Tom Crowell, Becky Gonzales, Dave Flower, Janet Myers, Troy Perry, Mary Wells, Everett Lombard, Carol and Warren Lombard. Preceded in death by her loving son, Jon Crowell in 1988; parents, Joseph and Aurelia Diaz; brother, Ernie Diaz; close friends, Father Richard O'Toole, Catherine, Tom and Bob O'Toole. Marti was born Sept. 18, 1942, in Chicago. She was dedicated to care-giving. Marti enjoyed playing volleyball for recreational leagues, baton twirling and tap dancing. She also enjoyed music, especially Elvis, Eagles and Stevie Nicks. The family thanks Parkview Hospital's third floor cancer unit for their generous and heartfelt care given to Marti. Also, special thanks to Dr. Greg Berryman, Dr. Travis Archuleta and their staff and the staff at Rocky Mountain Cancer Center. Viewing from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday and Tuesday in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel, with the family present from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. both days. Rosary, 6 p.m. Tuesday and funeral Mass, 9:30 a.m. Wednesday with the Reverend Father John O'Flynn as celebrant. Both services at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, 11th and Grand.   1. Mom, i am missing you so much at this time. This is a hard time this upcoming week for a friend of mine that lost her husband. I know you all are welcoming him with open arms. I love you so much mom and thank you for watching over the family. RIP MOM Happy Mothers Day on Sunday!!!!

    We are all very sad to hear about Marti’s passing. I have not seen Marti since 1969 and remember her fun and full of life. I hope everyone can do the same.

  8. Marguerite and family, I am so sorry for your loss. I so remember your mom just like it was yesterday, we were growing up in Lamar. Your mom was such a friend to everyone that knew here. Her love for life effected everyone in the room. She has passed this on to you girls. God Bless,

    Therefor are they before the throne of god, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them. They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more, neither shall the sun light on them, nor the heat.     Words cannot express how deeply sorry we are for the loss of your mom. She was a very special woman and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. I hope that knowing that she is now in Heaven with Jon and God brings you at least a little bit of peace.
