Margaret L. Golden, 72, passed away September 17, 2003. Survived by her daughter, Erin Sue (Jerry) Christie of Pueblo; grandchildren, Justin Ted Southerland and Jason Keith Southerland; sisters, Marcella Dalton of Cedaredge, Colorado and Maxine Taul of Anselmo, Nebraska; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Ted Golden; grandson, James Loren Roberts; sisters, Louise Williams and Joy Guerri and brother, Wallace F. Taylor. Margaret was born to Edward and Bessie Taylor, February 1, 1931, in Rocky Ford, Colorado and married William on May 17, 1952, in Raton, New Mexico. She retired as a metallurgical engineer for the U.S. Department of Defense in 1998. She enjoyed quilting, bowling, fishing and cooking. As per her request, there will be no viewing. Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. Memorial service and inurnment will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, September 20, 2003, at Mountain View Cemetery Chapel Mausoleum, 1315 Acero, Pueblo, with Reverend Dr. Rick Calhoun officiating. Those who desire may make memorials to the American Cancer Society, through the funeral home

  1. I lived across the street from Margaret. Like most working people, you don’t have time to get to know your neighbors well but I was fortunate enough to at least make her accquaintance. Anytime she saw me coming and going she always had a pleseant “hello” for me. She seemed like a very interesting person to know, I only wish I had an opportunity to do so. I will miss her “hellos” and her calling for Finigan.
