Margaret Ames Clark

Margaret Ames Clark departed her earthly life, Sept. 14, 2008, surrounded by her loving family. Margaret 'Marge' was born to Thomas C. Ames and Ruby Banks Ames on Sept. 27, 1922, in Dekoven, Kentucky. She was third of eight children. After completing her education, she joined her family in Pueblo. Here she met and married Damon 'Bucky' Clark. They were wed at First Baptist Church on Feb. 22, 1947. They had two sons, Damon Jr. and David. Marge was a strong individual who loved her children and grandchildren. She dearly loved Colorado's mountains, especially her Rye home. Marge's life centered around her family and loved ones. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; four brothers; and two sisters. Those family members left to cherish her memory are her sons, Damon (Sandy) Clark and David (Debra) Clark; grandchildren, Brice (Tracey) Clark, Daniel (Kristie) Clark, Kimbre Clark, Jana (J.D.) Snell, and Don Plymell; sister, Ruth (Dick) Young; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will share memories with friends at a viewing Friday, Sept. 19, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Montgomery & Steward Chapel. In honor of her request, there will be a private service.
