Mae Sloan, 99, passed away Sept. 12, 2016. Survived by daughter, Linda Miller (Michael) Roofe; four grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Joseph A. Sloan; three sisters; and one brother. Mae was born on August 21, 1917, in Fredericktown, Pa. She retired from General Electric and was a vocalist with Arwood Singers, Sweet Adolines and her church. Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. Memorial service, 2 p.m. Sat., Sept. 24, 2016, at Central Christian Church, 1902 N. Hudson. Online condolences, www.montgomerysteward.com

Such fond memories of your mom and dad camping, singing, playing games, and just visiting. Linda, I think we sure had some good times growing up with our two families. Will miss visiting and hearing your mom’s stories. Don Metz
