Madge M. Fleming

Madge M. Fleming, 92, of Pueblo, Colorado, was called away by the Lord on July 26, 2005. Gram, as she was affectionately known by family and friends, was born May 24, 1913, in Melbourne, Arkansas. She was predeceased by her loving husband H. Woodrow Fleming, parents, David and Fanny Smith, sisters, Hazel Watson, Snodie Cooper; and son-in-law, J. Mike Tafoya. She is survived by her daughter, Betty Sue Tafoya of Pueblo; son, Bob (Mary) Fleming of Pueblo; six grandchildren, Jeff Tafoya of Cypress, Tex., Terri (Ronnie) Ortiz of Pueblo, Jon (Nancy) Tafoya of Phoenix, Ariz., Reina (Ernie) Carrasco of The Woodlands, Tex., John Fleming of Pueblo and Jana (James) Warren of Pueblo; nine great-grandchildren, Brandi Ortiz of Pueblo, Ryan (Alecia) Ortiz of Kingwood, Tex., Tyler Ortiz of White Bear Lake, Minnesota, Bobbi Lynn Fleming of Grand Junction, Colo., Corban, Jacob and Calyx Warren of Pueblo, Crystal and Bethany Tafoya of Phoenix, Ariz.; one great-great grandchild, Brooklyn Dash-Ortiz of Pueblo. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Madge retired from Dana Corporation after 25 years of service and never forgot the many friends she worked with. The highlight of her life was being surrounded by her family. One of her greatest enjoyments was dining out with family and friends and was an avid baseball fan. She was devoted to her three cats, Fudge, Snoopy and Kitty Gray. Gram will be greatly missed by family and all who knew her. Viewing will be at the funeral home today from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. with family present from 4 to 7p.m. A celebration of her life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 30, 2005, at the Montgomery & Steward Chapel.
