  1. CandleImageMadge was a close friend of my Mom’s as already mentioned by my sister Mary Ann. And as she mentioned, Madge was a HOOT! I fondly recall that as a child Madge would drive over to our house (always a convertible back in those days) to visit Mom. Madge would then give me her patented “Three Fast Rounds” which involved her chasing me around the house and tickling me! I also remember Madge’s player-piano where the adults would have impromptu parties in her basement apartment on Saint Claire Ave. Her and Norm were in their dating stage back then. Happy Trails Madge and my condolences to Eric and Maureen.

  2. So sorry for your loss! Madge was a close friend of my mother’s. She taught me to drive. She was such a fun person!

  3. CandleImageMaureen and Eric and families,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. My thoughts are with you. May you hold tightly to all the happy memories your mom made with you. Much love,

  4. CandleImageDear Eric and Maureen. I’m so sorry to hear of your mother’s passing. I have such fond memories of our time on Aldrin Court and how she was good to me. I remember she gave me a quarter when I learned to ride my bike without training wheels and she made me the first hot fudge sundae I’d ever tasted. I know she’ll be missed and feel fortunate to have known her.
    My deepest sympathies,
    Amy Kozusko (Cantrell)

  5. CandleImageThe the Daberkow family: Please know how sorry I am to hear of Madge’s passing. I met her through my Aunt Dorothy Lane many years ago. We had some fun times together as they always included me in some of their get togethers. She was also a big college basketball fan and was always excited to get into my pool every year. I will miss her & she will always hold a special place in my heart. Sending love & hugs & prayers to you all.

  6. Dearest Eric, Maureen and family
On behalf of Derek, Deena and myself, we send our love and condolences. Your mom was truly one of a kind…sincere, funny, intelligent, true friend, best neighbor! She lives in our hearts and memories. God bless and protect your grieving hearts.

  7. Eric and Maureen,
I’m sorry to see that your mother passed away. So many memories of family parties and get togethers come to mind. She was always fun. Madge will definitely be missed. My condolences and prayers to you and your family.

  8. CandleImageI’ve only had the honor and privilege of knowing Madge for a couple of years. We met playing bridge and soon became friends especially close these last few months as I recovered from surgery. She called, brought food over and gave me rides to appointments all the while going through her own health issues. We both had a love for cats and could be brutally honest at times. She had a beautiful soul and I will miss her. She lived a “grand slam” life.

  9. I remember your mother as a “one of a kind” woman. Bright, funny and sweet. May God be with you as you mourn her passing and beyond. She will always live in your memories.

  10. I remember Madge from working at Parkview many years ago. She was one of my favorite people in the lab & blood bank. My condolences to her family. She was a beautiful person.

  11. CandleImageMadge was a good friend and lovely lady to both my mother, Elsie Horn, and myself. I enjoyed golfing with her and appreciated her honesty and humor. She spoke often about her kids and grandkids, they brought her great joy! She always kept in touch once I moved. The world is a better place because Madge touched many lives and I benefitted greatly from her friendship. May God bless and comfort her family, Cheryl DeLong
