Mabel Margareta Meerkatz, 94, passed away November 29, 2004, in Pueblo, Colorado. Survived by daughter, Margaret (Jim) Garberding of Pueblo; son, Keith (Nelly) Meerkatz of Canada; son-in-law, Vern Schoep of Boulder, Colo.; grandchildren, James, Timothy, Mark and Andrew Garberding, and David, Martin and Charles Schoep, Kristen Radochonski, and Christopher Meerkatz; numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and cousins. Preceded in death by her husband, Harold Meerkatz; daughter, Janis Schoep; 4 brothers and 3 sisters. Born, July 24, 1910 in Hampton, Nebraska. Mabel was a long-time resident of Boulder, Colorado where she was an active and faithful member of Mount Hope Lutheran Church. She loved to sew, quilt, and garden and was an avid reader. Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. No services in Pueblo. A memorial service will be held at Mount Hope Lutheran Church in Boulder - date to be determined.
