Mabel Alice Martin

Mabel Alice Martin, 88, passed away May 25, 2018. Survived by children, Char (Joe) O'Brien, Ed (Betsy) Martin, Jeff (Eloisa) Martin and Ben Martin; and brother, Jim Walden. Preceded in death by husband, Gene Martin; three sisters, Ellen, Mary and Doris; and one brother, Samuel. Mabel was born to Cecil and Ruth Walden on July 8, 1929, in Pueblo, Colo. She worked at the State Hospital as an LPN, District 70 as a bus driver, at American Indian Bible College and Grand Canyon College in Phoenix, Ariz. Mabel enjoyed cooking, reading, puzzles, Bible study and family. She taught children's church and Sunday school at Park Hill Assembly in Pueblo; Sunday school in Blanding, Utah Assembly of God Church where she was also the pianist. After moving to Arizona, she taught Sunday school and was the pianist at Desert Cove Assembly of God. The family would like to thank Life Care Nursing Home for their excellent care, with special thanks to Jack, Mariah and Francine for the love and attention given to mom. She is now walking the streets of gold with her beloved Lord Jesus.
