Lura Quint, 77, passed away March 10, 2008. Survived by her children, Cheryl Lynn (Tom) Bland of Pueblo and Albert E.C. Kimbrough of Grand Junction, Colo.; sisters, Lunda (Cliff) Brice of Pueblo and Billie Irene (Mike) Lynch of Colorado Springs; sister-in-law, Phyllis Godfery of Grand Junction, Colo.; grandchildren, Shelley Kogovsek, Kelley (Kenny) Gatlin and Phillip Peters; great-grandchildren, Bryce Gatlin, Connor Gatlin, Evan Gatlin and Caiden Peters; four nephews; and one niece. Preceded in death by her brother, Edward H. Godfrey. Lura was born Dec. 30, 1930, in Paonia, Colo., to Edward and Violet Godfrey. She was a well-known artist in South Eastern Colorado and taught art in Cheyenne Wells, Colo. and Kansas City, Mo. She was a member of Lake Avenue Baptist Church. Funeral service, 2 p.m. Thursday, March 13, 2008, in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel with the Reverend George White officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery. In lieu of food and flowers, memorials may be made to Sangre de Cristo Hospice, through Montgomery & Steward Funeral Directors, 1317 N. Main St., Pueblo, Colo. 81003.
