Lucile Bernice Collins, 97, passed away June 18, 2005, in Palmyra, Mo. Survived by her children, Dorothy (Richard) Cerretti of Hannibal, Mo. and David Darryl Collins of Beaumont, Texas; grandchildren, Richard Cerretti, Susan Rodhouse, David Collins, Jennifer Cerretti and Tracy Smith; and 4 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Uly David Collins on Oct. 9, 1997; and brothers, Melvin, Gaylord and Homer Edson. Lucile was born to Miles and Beatrice Edson on Oct. 7, 1907, in Kokomo, Indiana. She was employed as a LPN and a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. There will be no viewing. A graveside service will be held 3 p.m. Wednesday, June 22, 2005, at Roselawn Cemetery, in Pueblo, Colorado. Online condolences, www.montgomerysteward.com
Darryl, Dorothy and family. We heard about Aunt Lucile’s passing today and wanted to let you know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. I will always hold fond memories of the times the Collins cousins spent together in Pueblo and especially at the cabin in Rye, and the special way Lucile helped us feel at home. Sorry we will not be able to come to the services, but please say hello to everyone.
Dorothy and Darryl and family, Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. You have been wonderful in your love and care for your Mother. I will always remember the hamburger fries in your back yard, and the wonderful times we shared as cousins with you in Pueblo.Lucille was always right there, pitching in to cook and serve the whole group.Your Mother and Father both worked so hard to keep our Collins family togeher. Lucille gave so willingly of herself to all of us.We honor your Mother today and always. So sorry I can not be there to celebrate her memory at the service.
