Louise Louella Byrd

Louise L. Byrd, 71, passed away November 15, 2000, in Canon City. Survived by her children, Rick (Wanda) Byrd of Canon City, Butch Byrd of Canon City and Inez (Bob) Miller of Colorado Springs; siblings, Robert Snyder of Waterloo, Iowa, Doris (Norman) Lammey of Denver and David (Hannah) Snyder of Canon City; sister-in- law, Harriet (Dave) Barnett Klingensmith of Canon City; 17 grandchildren; and 7 great- grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Earnie E. Byrd on February 15, 1998; parents, Verle K. and Inez G. Snyder; son, John V. Byrd on January 16, 1978; and brother, John R. Snyder. Born May 29, 1929, in Mt. Sterling, Illinois. Louise and Earnie were married December 30, 1951, in Raton, New Mexico. Together they owned and operated Roto Rooter in Pueblo from 1952 until their retirement in 1981. She will lie in state at the funeral home today from 2 until 6 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. until noon. Funeral service will held 1 p.m. Saturday, November 18, 2000, at the Montgomery & Steward Chapel with Pastor Tom Steranka officiating. Interment will follow at Imperial Memorial Gardens. Those who desire may make memorials to Sangre de Cristo Hospice through the funeral home.
