Louis S. Gomez, 75, passed away October 19, 2003, in Pueblo, Colorado. Survived by his wife, Judie Gomez; mother, Maria H. Gomez; children, Shirley (Elmer) Pacheco, Barbara (Rod) Browning, Thelma Gomez, Darla (David) Diaz, Sam and Gregg (Nicole) Gomez; grandchildren, Joshua, Veronica, Christopher, Nicole and Zachary; great-grandchild, Alexis; and numerous brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his son, Louis Gomez Junior. Louis was born to Andy and Maria Gomez on August 25, 1928, in Segundo, Colorado. During his career he worked in sales for Rockwool Industries, Yellow Freight, ABF Freightlines, Roselawn Cemetery and Colorado Bluesky Enterprise. Member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Eagles Aerie 145, Steel City Kiwanis, United Fund Committee, Pueblo and Colorado Springs Homebuilders, Transportation Club of Colorado Springs and Past President of Transportation Club of Pueblo. As per his request, there will be no viewing. There will be a reception in the Mediterranean Room at 9:00 a.m. Funeral Mass is at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Francis Church, 611 Logan, with the Rev. Fr.   8. uncle, there are no words to say how much you will be missed by me. you were a part of my life and my family’s everyday. i thank you for that. I thank you for the time that we spent together, the laugh’s the jokes and the dancing. in todays world it is not otfen, that an uncle has time to spend with a niece just to visit or say hello. you will never be forgotten. my dad and i will continue to think and speak about you every day. i just ask that now you watch over my dad for me as he will really be missing you. love you forever. ernestine

    We were so shocked to see Louie’s death. I am so sorry for your loss. Our prayers & heartfelt sympathy goes out to you and your family. We really wished we could make it for the services. Pete was transferred to Denver in May. We talked a lot about all the fun times we had with you guys. The baseball games, barbeques, dancing with the transportation club. Louie knew how to live life and he did it soo well. He will be sadly missed. Again, if there is anything we can do you know we are available. Please email us and keep in touch.
