Louis Roque, 85, passed away Oct. 2, 2020. Survived by loving wife, Elfrieda “Marty”; son, Louis A. Jr.; grands, Sabrina and Samantha; great-grands, Kaden, Ravyn, Alexia and Lauren; sisters, Theresa Quintana, Genevieve Chavez, Veronica Lucero and Gloria Roque; brothers, Nick Roque, Dan Roque and Robert E. Roque; numerous nieces and nephews; and his various foster children.
Preceded in death by parents, Benito and Elvira; daughter, Rita Louise; brothers, Thomas A., Alfred, George A. and Benito J; sisters, Isabelle Chavez, Mary Duran and Lupe Martinez.
Louis was born on Aug. 12, 1935, in Pueblo, Colo. was a retired CPO in the U.S. Navy and retired from U.C. Health. He enjoyed being a servant to God and spending time with and helping his family. Louis was a member of Knights of Columbus Council 12020 and Eucharistic Minister at St. Paul the Apostle and Immaculate Heart of Mary in Northglenn and Community Choice Credit Union Board of Directors.
In lieu of food and flowers, Louie asked that friends and family show kindness and love to one another and give to your favorite charity. The family would be very pleased if friends and family would send little stories, chats, pictures and such about their best memories with him about how he touched their lives. A friend will compile all this for his grand and great-grands so they may see what a wonderful life he had.

I’m sorry to hear about Uncle Louie’s passing. Uncle Louie was such a kind and loving man. On one of my visits with Uncle Louie, I asked him about our families history and he proceeded to talk about his 14 siblings and he knew every single one of his siblings birthdays! I was so amazed! He will be greatly missed! May he rest in peace! Love u!

He aws a Awesome Uncle and he always had some words of wisdom for me and knowing he served our country in the US Navy and the pride of his brothers who also served ment a great deal and how important it is to serve. I worked with Lou at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in the late 1980s-early 1990s. He was a very good supervisor who truly cared about his employees. Lou was a very wise, personable and humble man who was a greatly respected friend to my whole family. Our sincere sympathy goes to Lou’s wife and family.
