Louis Paul Housman, 87, passed away December 20, 2020, after a year long battle with pancreatic cancer. Born in Minneapolis, MN to Charles M. and Esther Fath Housman. Predeceased by his parents; daughter, Nancy Housman; and brother, Charles O. Housman. Survived by loving wife of 58 years, Alice; sisters, Virginia (Dave) Shaw of Pueblo and Nancy (Roger) Ruppert of Las Vegas; and nephews and niece, John(Gloria) Housman of Texas, Bob (Colleen) Housman of Pueblo, Brian Housman of Pueblo, Van (Lori) Housman of Virginia, David (Carolyn) Shaw of Wichita, Meg (Wes) Skidmore of North Carolina, Jeff (Dacia) Shaw of Pueblo, Josh (Btissame) Ruppert of Las Vegas and Michael Ruppert of Florida. Louis was a graduate of Central High School and earned his bachelors and masters at Colorado College and taught in District 60 for 35 years. He served the Navy in Great Lakes and on a destroyer in the Pacific and then served in the Army Reserves for many years. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church. Louis was quiet, caring and kind, a perfect gentleman who kept his admirable dry sense of humor until the end. Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. No formal service due to COVID. Private family memorial at a later date.
