* Lois J. Getts, 82, passed away Feb. 4, 2011. Survived by her husband of 61 years, William M. Getts; daughters, Cheryl L. Getts and Gayle Getts-Howe; Maggie Thomas and Sweet Baby Bambi; grandchildren, Kelly (Renee) Howe, Sabret (Tasso) Flocos; and great-grandchildren, Megan (Jon) Boyd, Chenin Howe, Erin Howe, Mallory Howe, Miles Howe, Christian Flocos and Anastasia Flocos. Also survived by great-nephew, Aaron Brown; and great-niece, Krista Brown. Preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Lucille Sanders; sister, Carol J. Brown; and son-in-law, John J. Howe, M.D. Lois was born Jan. 3, 1929, in Chicago, Ill. Lois and William were married Oct. 9, 1949, at Trinity Lutheran Church. She retired as a medical assistant after 31 years of service. She enjoyed needle work, reading, cooking and spending summers at her cabin. Viewing from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Service, 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2011, in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel. Interment will follow at Imperial Memorial Gardens. Those who desire may make memorials to St. Jude Hospital or Pueblo Animal Shelter through Montgomery & Steward Funeral Directors, 1317 N. Main St., Pueblo, CO 81003.
