Lewis A. Clayton, 84, passed away March 24, 2015. Survived by his daughters, Lynne (Tom) Palmer and Pamela (Tom) Florczak; stepson, Patric R. (Liz) Benavidez; grandchildren, Zebulon (Natalie) Clayton, Corey Staples, Anthony Trujillo and Robert Florczak; three great-grandchildren; and good friends, Patty Pruett, Verle Steele and Dennis Ammon. Preceded in death by his wife of 28 years, Reina R. Clayton; son, Eugene Clayton; and brother, Billy Clayton.
Lewis was born to John and Mollie Clayton on Dec. 28, 1930, in Pueblo. He retired as a sergeant from the Pueblo Police Department after 32 years of service. Lew loved his dog LeRoy and the outdoors. He was an avid horseman and fisherman.
Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. Memorial service, 10 a.m. Saturday, March 28, 2015, in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel with Pastor Doug Cox officiating.

Lynne, Pam & Tom. I am so sorry for your loss. Lew was really a terrific man, and I enjoyed working with him at the PPD. He was a great role model for me, as well as being a good friend. May he rest in peace.
