Leslie Schneider

Leslie H. Schneider, a long time resident of Longmont, passed away Friday, Feb. 14, 2014, in Pueblo, Colo. Les was born May 9, 1928, in Leola, S. D., to John G. and Emma Schneider. Les served in the US Army during WWII and the Army Air Corps during the Korean War. After being discharged, he lived in Chicago, returning to Colorado in 1964. He worked for IBM Corp. until he retired. He is survived by brother, Layvoid A. Schneider, Little Rock, Ark.; two sisters, Lavern Pound, Eaton, Colo., Joan Terry, Pueblo, Colo.; and step-daughter, Sue Richards, Broomfield, Colo. He was preceded in death by his companion of many years, Joanne Whitmore, Longmont, Colo., and brother, Marvin L. Schneider, Denver, Colo. Military burial, 11:15am, Wednesday, Feb. 26, Ft. Logan National Cemetery, Denver, Colorado.
