Leonard Walter Pawlus, 92, went to be with our Lord on May 11, 2017. Survived by daughters, Janet Pawlus of Aurora and Teresa Hicks (Sister Mary Teresa Hicks, OSB) of Benet Hill Monastery, Colo; grandson, Michael (Karen) Hicks; Ruth Simon, Brett (Susan) Simon, and Michelle (Joe) Godri of Philadelphia. Preceded in death by his wife, Dixie Dale Pawlus. Leonard was born to Ann Moskalik on July 24, 1924, in Milwaukee, Wis. and served in the U.S. Navy and Coast Guard. He owned and operated Len's 66 Service Station from 1959-1976 and enjoyed woodworking and fishing. Leonard was a member of BPO Elks #90 and VFW Post #5812. Rosary followed by Mass 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 31, at Benet Hill Monastery, 3190 Benet Lane, Colorado Springs.
