Leonard Walter Pawlus, 92, went to be with our Lord on May 11, 2017. Survived by daughters, Janet Pawlus of Aurora and Teresa Hicks (Sister Mary Teresa Hicks, OSB) of Benet Hill Monastery, Colo; grandson, Michael (Karen) Hicks; Ruth Simon, Brett (Susan) Simon, and Michelle (Joe) Godri of Philadelphia. Preceded in death by his wife, Dixie Dale Pawlus. Leonard was born to Ann Moskalik on July 24, 1924, in Milwaukee, Wis. and served in the U.S. Navy and Coast Guard. He owned and operated Len's 66 Service Station from 1959-1976 and enjoyed woodworking and fishing. Leonard was a member of BPO Elks #90 and VFW Post #5812. Rosary followed by Mass 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 31, at Benet Hill Monastery, 3190 Benet Lane, Colorado Springs. With deepest condolences we are so sorry for your loss. Len took such good care of my car and gave such remarkable advice.
Len was such a kind and funny man. I used to love talking to him at the hardware store. He will be missed. Best to Terry and all the family.
